Record cash and card terminal payments
Record desk payments in cash or by card terminal, top up wallets at the desk and reconcile today's money.
Cash & POS is your register. Record money you take at the desk, see today's totals by method and scroll through every transaction, whether it came in online, at the desk or from a wallet.
Open the register
Open Payments → Cash & POS in the sidebar. The page is titled Transactions. Older links to the Cashbox open the same page.
From top to bottom you see:
- Payments by provider: succeeded payments grouped by where they came from (Stripe, Montonio, Stebby, Wallet, Invoice, Cash, POS). Pick Last 7 days, Last 30 days or Last 90 days.
- Four tiles for today: Today net, Payments, Refunds and Wallet activity (top-ups and wallet spending).
- Today's reconciliation by method: today's total and count per payment method.
- The Record payment form.
- The transaction list, with a Method filter.
Record a desk payment
- Enter the Amount (EUR).
- Choose the Method: Cash or POS card.
- Optional: pick a Client (optional). Leave Walk-in / none for anonymous sales.
- Optional: add a Reference (optional), such as the receipt or terminal reference.
- Click Record payment.
The payment appears in the list and in today's totals right away.
Top up a wallet at the desk
To turn cash or a card payment into wallet credit:
- Fill in the amount and method.
- Pick the client. Only clients linked to a Nola account are listed.
- Tick Credit this amount to the client's wallet.
- Click Record payment.
Nola records a wallet top-up and adds the amount to the client's wallet. See Client wallets.
Mark a booking paid at the desk
The Record payment form records money, but it does not link to a booking. To mark a specific booking paid in cash or by card, use Settle on Unpaid balances. That also adds the transaction here.
Read the transaction list
| Column | What it shows |

| Method | Cash, POS card, Bank link, Card, Wallet, Invoice, Stripe, Montonio, or Unspecified. |

| Status | Pending, Completed, Failed or Cancelled. |
| Description | What the money was for. |
| Booking | View opens the booking, when there is one. |
Only completed transactions count toward today's totals. Today net is payments plus wallet top-ups, minus refunds and wallet spending.
