Sell and redeem gift cards

A gift card is a code with a money value, such as GC-7KQ2-M9XP. Sell it at the desk, then redeem it against bookings until the balance runs out, or move what is left onto a client's wallet.

#Issue a gift card

1. Open Products → Gift cards in the sidebar.
2. Click Issue gift card.
3. Fill in the form:

4. Click Issue gift card. Nola generates the code and shows it in Gift card issued.
5. Click Copy code and give it to the customer, on a printed card or in your own message.

Nola does not email the code for you, and it does not record the sale in your register. Take the payment through Cash and POS so your daily totals match.

#Redeem a gift card on a booking

1. Open the booking from the calendar or the bookings list.
2. Under Settle, type the code into Gift card code. Upper or lower case both work.
3. Click Apply gift card.

If the card covers the full price, the booking is marked paid and a transaction is recorded. If the card has less than the price, Nola uses the whole card balance and the rest of the price stays open on the booking. You can apply a second card to the same booking.

#Move a balance to a wallet

Use this when a client wants to spend the card on online bookings.

1. On the card's row, open Actions.
2. Choose Move balance to a client's wallet….
3. Type the client's exact name. The client must have a Nola account.

The whole remaining balance moves to the client's wallet and the card becomes Used up. See Client wallets.

#Track your cards

The tiles at the top show the Outstanding balance on active cards, the number of Active cards and the value Sold in total. Search by code or name above the table.
