Restore removed services, resources and clients
Removed services, resources and clients go to Trash first. Restore them or delete them for good, while their bookings stay intact.
When you remove a service, resource or client, Nola moves it to Trash instead of deleting it. It disappears from your everyday lists, but every booking that refers to it keeps working, and you can bring it back later.
Remove something
| Item | Where to remove it |
|---|---|
| Service | Services → Services, then Move to trash on the service |
| Resource | Services → Resources, then Move to trash on the resource |
| Client | Clients, open the row menu, click Remove and confirm |
A message confirms "moved to trash" and has an Undo button for a few seconds. Click it to put the item straight back.
A removed service or resource is also switched off, so customers can no longer book it.
Restore an item
- Open Settings → Trash in the sidebar.
- Find the item. The list shows its type (Service, Resource or Client), name, when it was Removed and its Auto-delete date, 90 days after removal.
- Click Restore.
The item is back in its list straight away. Restored services and resources are active again, so check their hours and settings if you want to keep them hidden from customers.
Delete an item for good
- Open Settings → Trash.
- Click Delete forever next to the item.
- Confirm. This cannot be undone.
What happens depends on the type:
| Type | Delete forever |
|---|---|
| Service | Only possible if the service has no bookings. Otherwise keep it in Trash. |
| Resource | Only possible if the resource has no bookings. Otherwise keep it in Trash. |
| Client | Deletes the client card and its notes. Their bookings stay in your calendar and reports. |
If a service or resource still has bookings, Nola shows "This service has bookings; keep it archived instead" (or the same for a resource). Keeping it in Trash does no harm: it is hidden everywhere except in past bookings.
Removing, restoring and deleting are all recorded in the audit log.
Deleting client data on request
If a client asks to be forgotten, remove them on Clients and then use Delete forever in Trash. For the full picture, including retention and consent, see Privacy and GDPR.
