Set VAT rates

Set your business's VAT rate and a different rate for any membership plan, product or service, such as a reduced rate or 0 %.

How-toChecked against the app on 8 October 2026

Your prices include VAT. The VAT rate says how much of each price is VAT. You set one rate for your business, and a different rate for any membership plan, product or service that needs one, for example a drink at a reduced rate or an item that is exempt.

Set your business's rate

  1. Open Settings → VAT rates.
  2. Under Your business's rate, type the rate and click Save, or click one of the rates offered, such as Use 13 %.

Every plan, product and service without its own rate uses this one. If your business isn't registered for VAT, set 0 %.

For a business in Estonia the page offers the Estonian rates: the standard rate of 24 % (22 % until 30 June 2025), the reduced rates of 13 % and 9 %, and 0 %. In other countries, type your rate.

Give a plan, product or service its own rate

Under Membership plans, Products and Services, pick a rate next to the item. Business rate means the item follows your business's rate, also when you change it later. Each change is saved at once.

What the rate is used for

  • Membership payments. A membership takes its plan's own rate when the member joins, and keeps it. If the plan uses Business rate, each payment uses your business's rate at that time. The receipt shows the VAT inside the payment.
  • Sales. Each shop sale, booking payment, fee and wallet payment saves its VAT when it is made: a product's own rate, the booked service's own rate, or your business's rate. Changing a rate later doesn't change sales already made. A wallet top-up carries no VAT: the VAT is counted when the money is spent. A refund of a booking reverses the VAT of the booking's payment, also when the money goes back to the wallet: the VAT then counts again only when that money is spent.
  • The accounting export (Reports) lists that VAT, one row per rate. See Analytics and reports.
  • Wallet invoices use your business's rate.

Only staff who can change settings can change VAT rates, and each change on this page is in the audit log. The rates can't be changed in the shared demo.
