Workout programmes
For trainers. Build workout programmes, draft one with AI, give it to a client and follow their workouts, measurements and weekly check-ins.
Programmes live in your trainer workspace under Programmes (on a phone, under More). A programme is one week of training days that repeats for the number of weeks you choose.
Build a programme
- Open Programmes and click New programme.
- Give it a name and set Weeks. Add a description and tags if you like.
- Each card is one training day. Rename it, then click Add exercise and search the library by name or muscle. Exercises you added yourself are marked Yours. If something is missing, click New exercise, type the name and click Add exercise.
- For each exercise set the sets, the reps (or seconds for timed exercises like a plank), the load, the rest in seconds and a coaching note. Use the arrows to change the order.
- Click Add day for more days, up to seven, and Save.
Turn on Template to let every trainer at the business use the programme. Templates show up in their list too, and they can copy one with Copy.
Draft a programme with AI
Click Draft with AI, pick the goal, level, equipment, days a week and weeks, and click Draft. You can pick a client: their goal and injury notes are taken into account. Notes marked Only me are never used.
The draft opens in the builder. Nothing is saved or given to anyone until you check it and click Save. If AI isn't available, Nola builds the draft from its standard templates instead and tells you so.
Give a programme to a client
Open the client under Clients and click Give a programme in the Training section, or use the button on their progress page. Pick the programme and the start date.
The client gets their own copy and a notification. Editing the programme later doesn't change their copy. Giving a client a new programme finishes the one you gave them before. Removing a programme from your list doesn't affect clients who already have it.
Follow a client's progress
Click Progress on the client. You see:
- Each programme with the week they are in, how many of the planned workouts they did and when they last trained. Pause, Resume or Finish it here.
- Weekly check-ins: the client rates sleep, energy, stress and how well they kept to the plan, from 1 to 5. Write a reply or click Mark as read.
- Best lifts: the heaviest set they logged for each exercise.
- Measurements: weight, body fat and waist over time. You can add one for them, for example after an assessment.
- Recent workouts with every set they logged.
Today shows Needs your attention when a client hasn't logged a workout for 7 days or more, and when a check-in is waiting for you.
The client decides what you see
Workouts, measurements and check-ins are only shared once the client agrees in their account. Until then you see the programme, but not what they log. Measurements are health information, so only the client's own trainers see them. Owners and managers who aren't the client's trainer don't.
The client can stop sharing at any time. Measurements and check-ins are deleted after two years, and all of it when the client asks for their data to be deleted.
