Set up recurring bookings
Reserve the same weekly slot for a regular client, choose how it is billed, and pause or end the series.
A standing booking reserves the same weekday and time for a regular client, week after week. Open Bookings → Recurring in the sidebar. The page is called Standing bookings.
How it works
Nola creates the actual bookings on a rolling basis, about eight weeks ahead, and tops them up once a day. Each one is a normal confirmed booking on the calendar. The client gets a notification when you set the series up.
Create a standing booking
- Open Bookings → Recurring.
- Under New standing booking, pick the Client and the Service.
- Set the Weekday, Start time and Duration (minutes).
- Choose a Resource / court (optional), or leave Auto-assign / none.
- Set the Start date. Leave End date (optional) empty for a series with no end.
- Choose how it is billed (see below) and an optional Regular-customer discount (%).
- Tick Customer can release a single week for others to book if the client may give back a week they cannot use.
- Click Check for conflicts. Nola lists any week that clashes with an existing booking or blocked time.
- Click Create standing booking.
If any of the first weeks clash, Nola does not create the series. Move the other booking or change the time, then try again. Clashes further ahead are skipped when their week comes up, and you get a notification.
Billing options
| Option | What happens |
|---|---|
| Charge wallet per occurrence | Each booking is paid from the client's wallet when Nola creates it. If the balance is too low, that week is skipped and you are notified. |
| Charge wallet upfront for the term | The whole term is taken from the wallet when you create the series. This needs an end date. If the balance is too low, you get an Upfront payment not collected notification. |
| Generate an invoice | Nola creates a draft invoice for the term, or for the first weeks if there is no end date. Review and send it under Payments → Invoices. |
The discount is taken off the service price for every week. See Client wallets and Invoices.
Repeat a booking from the calendar
For a quick series based on a booking that already exists:
- Right-click the booking on the calendar and choose Repeat weekly…, or open it and use the same option.
- Set the Number of weeks (up to 52) and the Billing: Invoice, Wallet per visit or Paid upfront.
- Click Check conflicts, then Create series.
The series starts one week after the original booking, on the same weekday, time and resource. The client can release single weeks.
Pause, resume or end
Each series in Active & paused shows its weekday, time, discount, dates and billing.
- Pause stops Nola from creating new weeks. Bookings already on the calendar stay.
- Resume starts creating weeks again.
- End series cancels every remaining future booking in the series and moves it to Ended.
To change or cancel a single week, open that booking on the calendar and edit it like any other booking.
What your clients see
Clients see their standing bookings in their account. If you allowed it, they can release a single week there, which frees the slot for others to book.
