Sign up, let the AI setup assistant build your business from your website or a short description, and land in setup.
Nola is booking software for your own business. You create one login, then the AI setup assistant creates your business profile, services, resources and opening hours for you to review. Nothing is public until you publish.

Name your business with the setup assistant
The assistant is the way a new business gets created in Nola. It needs one thing from you.
- In Website, business name or description, type one of these:
- your website address, for example
yoursalon.ee. The assistant reads it for services, prices, hours and branding. - your business name. The assistant looks it up online.
- a few sentences about what you do, if you have no website yet.
- your website address, for example
- Click Start. The assistant shows what it is doing while it researches. This usually takes less than a minute, and you can leave the page and come back.
- If something is missing, you get A few quick questions (at most four). Tap a suggested answer or type your own.
- Review Here's your setup. It is split into sections: Business, Brand, Resources, Services, Plans, Opening hours, Booking policies, Payments, Notifications and Modules. Items marked Check this are the assistant's best guess.
- Fix anything with Edit, or type a request into Ask for a change…, for example "make haircuts 45 minutes". Under Services, Edit also lets you set each service's Capacity (how many people fit in one booking, or for a class or drop-in, how many at the same time) and toggle the resources it books, such as courts, rooms or staff. A service that books only courts, tables or rooms becomes a court rental, one booking per court however many players it takes. A room with a capacity above 1 is a class held there. Any other service with a capacity above 1 becomes a group class. So does a drop-in or an open gym, which the assistant sizes to its room, or to 20 marked Check this when nothing says how big the place is. Under Booking policies, Edit sets Minimum notice (hours) and Book ahead up to (days). Leave either field empty for no limit; the proposal then shows No limit. Memberships, passes and price tiers (peak and off-peak, member and guest) never become separate services. The assistant turns on the Memberships & passes or Dynamic pricing module instead, and memberships and passes it finds go under Plans. There, Edit sets each plan's price, type and visits. Nola never invents a price: a plan with no price (No price yet), or a pack with no number of visits (How many visits?), isn't created. The section lists the terms a plan starts with, which you can change later under Products → Plans. Under Business, the Tagline can be at most 120 characters. A longer one shows how long it is and a Use: "…" button with a shorter one, and you can't continue until it fits. Nothing cuts it for you. The assistant also writes a Description for your booking page: check it's true, and change it with Edit. Under Resources, new coaches, staff, rooms and courts start on the opening hours in the proposal, weekends included. You can change anyone's own hours after setup, under Services. Under Business, check First day of the week. It is Sunday for businesses in the US and Canada and Monday everywhere else; click Edit to pick the other day. Weeks in your calendar, weekly booking limits and reports start on this day, and you can't change it after setup.
- Click Set up my business. A checklist shows each part being created. You can close the tab; setup keeps going.
To change the language you see Nola in, use the language button at the top of the page. Your booking page has its own languages.
When setup is done
The Your business is set up screen appears. Your booking page is still a draft that only you can see. If your proposal had plans, Plans says they are under Products → Plans, or names the ones not created because a price or a number of visits is missing.
Your new business starts a 30-day trial of the Pro plan, with every module available and no card needed. If you signed up through a referral link from another Nola business, you both get one month free when you start paying for a plan. See Billing and plans.
- Click Preview booking page to see your page as customers will, before it is public. The preview opens in a new tab, marked Preview of your booking page. Only you and your team can see it. Its booking buttons are greyed out until you publish.
- Click Publish my booking page when your prices and hours look right. You can also publish later. See Publish your booking page.
- Answer How did you hear about Nola? (optional) if you like.
- Click Go to dashboard to open the Today screen. If you picked a plan on Nola's pricing page before signing up, it opens Settings → Plan instead, with that plan marked Your choice.
If some part failed, the screen lists it under A few steps need your attention with a link to the setup checklist. See The setup wizard.
Signed up from an industry page
If you started from one of the industry pages on the Nola website, the setup screen may offer Apply vertical defaults. This adds starter settings for that type of business. See Industry templates.
