Sell retail products

Retail is a small shop at your front desk. Add the items you sell, like balls, drinks or hair products, then scan or tap them into a desk sale. Nola lowers the stock and records the payment in your register.

#Add a product

1. Open Products → Retail in the sidebar.
2. Fill in Add product:

3. Click Add product.

#Sell at the desk

The Desk sale panel sits next to the form.

1. Click into the scan field and scan a barcode, or type a SKU and press Enter. You can also tap one of the product buttons below it.
2. Adjust quantities with + and −, or remove a line.
3. Optional: pick a client. Leave No client (walk-in) for anonymous sales.
4. Take payment with one of the buttons:

Nola lowers the stock of each item and records one transaction for the whole sale under Payments → Cash & POS.

Products that are inactive or out of stock cannot be added to a sale.

#Receive stock

When a delivery arrives, click Receive stock on the product and enter how many arrived. The stock goes up by that number.

#Low-stock alerts

When a sale takes a product down to its Low-stock alert at number, Nola sends you a notification. A yellow banner at the top of the Retail page lists every product at or below its threshold, and the stock column shows a warning sign.

Below the forms, Stock value at cost shows the value of everything on the shelf, using the cost price, or the selling price where no cost is set.

#Stop selling a product

• Deactivate hides it from desk sales but keeps it in the list. Activate brings it back.
• Remove deletes it.
